NORTH LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Local Pastor Michael Tapplin began Back 2 Basics Global Outreach out of his garage. And then his non-organization grew to a warehouse where people could come and pick up products at a fraction of the price.

It isn't considered a sale. Most of the items inside the warehouse, located at 730 West Cheyenne Avenue, near Revere Street, are priced at cost.

The nonprofit says it charges just enough money to keep their lights on and their shelves full.

"We impact so many lives in Southern Nevada. The veterans, senior citizens, school children, etc.," Tapplin said.

"We connect with other nonprofits and then they serve their community. Because it is almost impossible for us to reach everybody," said fellow Pastor Ladonna Tapplin.

Back 2 Basics is a nonprofit that serves other nonprofits by helping them to get diapers, formula, school supplies and other products to people in need.

In just one year, the team distributed more than 650,000 items and says they are planning to do even more this year.

Back 2 Basics is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and from 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
