The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

10:05 P.M.

NV Energy says a mylar balloon hit some power lines in the area of East Flamingo Road and South Maryland Parkway that caused a power bump that people may have noticed as flickering lights. The balloon may have caused a flash when it collided with the power lines. It did not cause any power outages.

4:05 P.M.

UPDATE: The barricade situation in the 2100 block of Exeter Drive has ended. The suspect has been taken into custody without incident.

1:08 P.M.

Las Vegas police are investigating a fatal crash near East Lake Mead Boulevard and Stevens Street involving an SUV and a motorcycle. East Lake Mead Boulevard has been shut down between North Walnut Road and Sandy Lane. Please avoid the area.

11:34 A.M.

Las Vegas police responded to a domestic incident that is being treated as a barricade situation in the 2100 block of Exeter Drive near East Carey Avenue and North Hollywood Boulevard. Some residents have been evacuated as a precaution. Please avoid the area.
