It's the local resting place for 50,000 fallen soldiers, and now, 13 Connects needs your help as we raise money to honor these brave men and women with our Raising the Flag campaign.
Now through Nov. 17, you can be a part of Raising the Flag in conjunction with the Veterans Action Foundation.
Give what you can, because your donation helps buy an American flag to be placed at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
There's a good chance your donated flag will be used more than once to honor veterans on Memorial Day.
Volunteers will place the flags on Memorial Day and remove them the same day so they don't get blown away or tarnished. They'll then be carefully inspected to make sure they're in good condition to use again in the future.
