Two Nevada State Bank branches will host food drives to benefit Las Vegas Rescue Mission (LVRM), a faith-based organization which serves individuals and families in need through food, shelter, daily needs and addiction recovery.

The LVRM serves a community meal open to anyone daily as well as provide food boxes and essential supplies to those in need just arriving to our community.

Non-perishable food items can be donated by driving through drop-off locations open from 9 a.m. to noon at two Nevada State Bank branch locations:

- Nov. 5: Ft. Apache/Flamingo Branch – 9415 W. Flamingo Rd.

- Nov. 6: McCarran Center Branch – 750 E Warm Springs Rd

Those attending and donating at the drive-through food drive should expect to stay in their cars to encourage safe social distance guidelines. Volunteers will remove bagged and/or boxed food donations from cars and place them into bins.

The Las Vegas Rescue Mission has seen tremendous increases in the need for emergency food services since mid-March 2020. In a normal year, they serve nearly 400,000 meal to the hungry in our community.

Even with COVID-19 parameters limiting their inside service, they are continuing to serve a package daily meal to those in need and plan a three-hour distribution on Thanksgiving.

Suggested donations include canned goods (vegetables, fruits) proteins (tuna, chicken, beans, etc.) holiday items (gravy mix, stuffing mix, macaroni & cheese) and other non-perishable, non-expired food items.
