NV Energy is celebrating the competition of a solar power array in Boulder City.
The Boulder Solar 1 was dedicated Tuesday. It provides 100 megawatts of electricity, enough to power 30,000 homes during daytime hours.
The plant has almost 290,000 solar panels on a one-square mile dry lake bed in the Eldorado Valley.
