CEREMONIES AND EVENTS

VETERANS DAY PARADE
The annual Veterans Day Parade in Downtown Las Vegas will take place Nov. 11. The parade on Fourth Street will begin at 9:45 a.m. THe annual parade is one of the largest veteran parades in the country and features dozens of floats, performers, local groups, local officials, musicians and more. The parade will be rebroadcast on Cox cable statioin 96 and 1096HD on Nov.19 at 12:30 p.m.; Nov. 21 at 8 p.m.; Nov. 22 at 3 p.m.; Nov. 24 at 9 p.m.; Nov. 26 at 12:30 p.m.; Nov. 28 at 8 p.m.; Nov. 29 at 3 p.m. and Dec. 1 at 8:30 p.m.

HENDERSON ANNUAL VETERANS DAY CEREMONY
The city of Henderson is holding its annual Veterans Day Ceremony at 10 a.m. Nov. 4 at the Henderson Events Plaza Amphitheater, 200 S. Water Street. Mayor Pro Tempore Dan Stewart and members of the City Council will be joined by the Basic High School Marine Corps JROTC, local veterans groups and community members. Brig. Gen. DeAnna M. Burt from Nellis Air Force Base will deliver the keynote address and the Henderson Symphony Orchestra will perform a special musical tribute to the armed forces. The Basic High School Marine Corps JROTC will conduct the presentation of colors and read the names of the four local veterans who will be added to the Memorial Wall.

SIDE BY SIDE VETERANS HOMETOWN CELEBRATION & FUNDRAISER
Side by Side Veterans’ third annual Veterans Hometown Celebration will honor local veterans of the United States Armed Forces. Quilts of Valor will present three quilts to active duty and retired veterans. The event will feature barbeque from Road Kill Grill, a petting zoo, patriotic pony rides, face painting and cotton candy. A silent auction will provide scholarships for training service dogs and their veterans. Happening 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 4 at Coldwell Banker Premier Realty Building, 6628 Skye Pointe Drive.

VA SOUTHERN NEVADA HEALTHCARE VETERANS DAY CAR SHOW AND BBQ
 The VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System (VASNHS) will host its 3rd Annual Car Show & BBQ in celebration of Veterans Day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 10 at their facility on North Pecos Road. There will be a car show, free barbecue, a health and services fair, appearance by Count's Kustoms, kids zone and more.

VETERANS DAY CEREMONY AT THE PLAZA
The Plaza hotel-casino and Veterans In Politics International are holding a special ceremony to recognize four United States Marine Corps veterans and three current members of the Nevada Army National Guard. Plaza resident headliner, Frankie Scinta will sing the national anthem, and the awards will be presented by Clark County Commission Steve Sisolak under the iconic Plaza dome immediately following the Las Vegas Veterans Day parade. The ceremony will begin at 2 p.m. Nov. 11. Discounts and specials include a free pair of tickets to see the Scintas on Nov. 11, free entry into a special slot tournament, a free small rainbow play during a Plaza bingo session, various food and beverage specials including $1 domestic beers and Bloody Marys, and more.

DINING/SPECIAL DEALS

BATALI & BASTIANICH HOSPITALITY GROUP
Batali & Bastianich Hospitality Group restaurants in Las Vegas will celebrate the nation’s heroes this Veterans Day.

Carnevino Italian Steakhouse at The Palazzo, B&B Ristorante at The Venetian and OTTO Enoteca e Pizzeria at The Venetian will offer veterans 15 percent off their final bill.

Guests should notify their server of their veteran status upon arrival at the restaurant. The special offer is only applicable for the veteran’s food and drinks; guests are not included.

BOYD GAMING
Boyd Gaming properties across the Las Vegas Valley will show their appreciation to active duty and retired military by offering specials to enjoy this Veterans Day. Service members will be invited to enjoy a complimentary meal at highlighted buffets along with additional discounts, and the Las Vegas community will also have an opportunity to “Buy a Vet a Bud or Bud Light” to enjoy during their meal.

The complimentary buffet for active, inactive and retired military will be offered on Saturday, Nov. 11 at Aliante Casino + Hotel + Spa, The Orleans, Gold Coast, Suncoast, Sam’s Town and Cannery. Service members must present their military ID for redemption.

Members of the local community and visitors are encouraged to visit Aliante Casino + Hotel + Spa, The Orleans, Gold Coast, Suncoast, Sam’s Town and Cannery to purchase a Budweiser or Bud Light in support of Boyd Gaming’s “Buy a Vet a Bud or Bud Light” holiday promotion. Guests can purchase a beer at any participating casino bar or restaurant between now and Nov. 11 and write a personal thank you message that will be adorned to the beer and delivered to military members. One Bud or Bud Light honorary brew will be provided to each veteran and active-duty military member at the buffet on Veterans Day to enjoy with their meal, while supplies last.

Eldorado Casino will offer military personnel 50 percent off any entrée at Mary’s Diner on Veterans Day. Active duty and retired service members must present their military ID for redemption.

Jokers Wild Casino will offer military personnel 50 percent off any entrée at The Court Café on Veterans Day. Active duty and retired service members must present their military ID for redemption.

CABO WABO CANTINA
Cabo Wabo Cantina  is showing love to all our vets and active-duty service members by offering a special deal on Nov. 11 for Veterans Day. All veterans will receive 20 percent off on all drink purchases from the bar, including favorites like the CW Mai Tai and The Vojito!

CAESARS ENTERTAINMENT
Caesars Entertainment Las Vegas resorts offer complimentary or discounted dining, entertainment, attractions and retail experiences for active or retired service members throughout the year and specifically on Veterans Day.

On Nov. 11, all active and retired military members with valid ID, as well as veterans with Form DD214 and photo ID, can enjoy a complimentary, single admission to any of the following buffets: Flavors, The Buffet at Harrah’s Las Vegas, Paradise Garden Buffet at Flamingo Las Vegas, Le Village Buffet at Paris Las Vegas, Spice Market Buffet at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino and Carnival World & Seafood Buffet at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino.

CHICK-FIL-A
All three Las Vegas-area Chick-fil-A restaurants are celebrating Veterans Day and honoring those who have served our country by giving a free chicken sandwich to local military personnel on Nov. 11. All military personnel and those who have previously served can visit any of the three Las Vegas-area restaurants on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to close and receive one free original Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich.

CHIPOTLE
Active military and veterans and spouses who show a U.S. military ID at any Chipotle from 5 p.m. to close can enjoy a BOGO burrito, bowl, salad or tacos.

CLARK COUNTY SHOOTING COMPLEX
The Clark County Shooting Complex will honor veterans with complimentary rental equipment and all-day range passes on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 10 and 11 in observance of Veterans Day. Veterans just need to present their military ID or DD-214 to receive rental equipment of their choice and an all-day pass.  Additionally, John Mull’s Road Kill Grill II, located in the Shotgun Center, will offer a hot dog, hamburger, or hotlink meal including fries and a beverage free of charge for all veterans until 2 p.m. on both days.

EXHIBITIONISM – THE ROLLING STONES EXHIBIT
Exhibitionism at The Palazzo® Las Vegas honors veterans and active members of the military on Veterans Day and every day. Military personnel can present their government-issued military identification cards at the Exhibitionism box office and receive 20% off both GA and VIP tickets.

DEATH VALLEY
Park entrance fees are waived in honor of Veterans Day. There will be a veterans tribute at 1 p.m. at the Death Valley '49ers Encampment, a week-long Western heritage festival that includes traditional Western music, history presentations, art and vendor shows, the grand reopening of Keane Wonder Mine, wagon rides, parades, and other fun events.

DENNY'S
To celebrate America’s veterans this year, Denny’s invites active, inactive and military personnel into its booths on Nov. 10 to enjoy a free Build Your Own Grand Slam® as a thank you for their service and dedication to the nation. The Grand Slam features buttermilk or hearty wheat pancakes, two eggs cooked to order, two sizzling bacon strips or hash browns. Available 5 a.m. to noon with military ID.

DISCOVERY CHILDREN'S MUSEUM
Beginning Nov. 14, DISCOVERY Children's Museum will offer an on-going $4 discount off general admission for all active military members and veterans. 

ESCAPE REALITY
Escape Reality is honoring veterans with free play in the seven themed escape rooms on Veterans Day weekend, Nov. 11-12. Up to five guests will get 50 percent off.

GLITTERING LIGHTS
Veterans will be admitted for free on Nov. 11 to Glittering Lights at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The yearly drive-thru attraction features 3 million lights, a variety of displays, a special Las Vegas tribute area, live entertainment on special dates, a Santa Tram and more.

GLOWZONE
For the month of November, all military get in free and family members receive 50 percent off at Glowzone Las Vegas. Glowzone is an indoor, glow-in-the-dark family challenge center.

LION HABITAT RANCH
Lion Habitat Ranch is offering $10 admission for all active military and veterans on Nov. 11 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a valid ID. Ozzie the giraffe will also host a painting demonstration at noon, 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.

MARVEL AVENGERS STATION
Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. at Treasure Island is offering Veterans and active military free entrance on Nov. 11.

NATIONAL ATOMIC TESTING MUSEUM AND NEVADA BALLET THEATRE
Nevada Ballet Theatre will present "Classic Americana" at the Smith Center on Saturday, Nov. 11, and Sunday, Nov. 12.  Veterans and active duty military can buy tickets for these performances and get a second free, by clicking the link here and entering code NBTATMVETS at check-out.  As an added bonus, if you bring your receipt for this special military ticket deal to the National Atomic Testing Museum, you'll get free admission to the museum!

OUTBACK STEAKHOUSE
This Veterans Day, Outback Steakhouse is continuing its rich history of honoring military members, thanking them with a free Bloomin' Onion and a beverage on Nov. 11. Additionally, Nov. 12 through Nov. 16, military members will receive 20% off their check and, beginning Nov. 17, Military, Fire and Police heroes will receive 10% off their check. 

Starting Nov. 8 through Jan. 2, 2018, Outback customers will have the opportunity to demonstrate their support for military families through purchases at their local Outback restaurant: 

  • For every purchase of a Foster’s Lager Big Bloke, MillerCoors* will donate $1 to Operation Homefront
  • For every purchase of Outback’s New Patriotic Punch, Outback** will donate $1 to Operation Homefront

PANCHO'S MEXICAN RESTAURANT
Pancho’s Mexican Restaurant, located in Downtown Summerlin, will be offering a special 25% discount to all military with a valid ID on Nov. 11 and Nov. 13. This discount excludes alcoholic beverages.

RAMPART CASINO AND JW MARRIOTT
All veterans eat free at the Rampart Casino buffet for any meal period. Must show valid military ID.

RED ROBIN GOURMET BURGERS AND BREWS
Continuing the brand’s tradition of honoring the men and women who have served their country, Red Robin is offering all veterans and active duty military members a FREE Red’s Tavern Double burger with Bottomless Steak Fries on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, at participating locations.

RED LOBSTER
In honor of Veterans Day, Red Lobster will be offering a free appetizer or dessert to veterans, active-duty military and reservists with a valid military ID on Nov. 11. Appertizer choices include sweet chili shrimp, mozzarella cheesesticks, Parrot Isle jumbo coconut shrimp, lobster and langositno pasta and shrimp cocktail. Dessert choices include vanilla bean cheesecake, key lime pie, warm apple crostada, chocolate wave and brownie overboard. 

RED ROCK CANYON NATIONAL CONSERVATION AREA
Whether you drive, bike, run or walk, you may visit the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area for free on Veterans Day weekend. The Bureau of Land Management, in conjunction with other agencies within the Department of the Interior, will waive amenity-related fees for Saturday, November 11 and Sunday, November 12.

RED ROOF
Red Roof is offering any active duty or retired military members 40 percent off their room rate when they book on RedRoof.com between November 1 and November 22 with its Home for the Holidays Discount—and that’s good for stays through the end of February 2018. The brand is also offering 1,000 free nights to military members and their families through the Military Ticket Program.  

REMEDY'S and DISTILL
At all locations Veterans and active military receive a free appetizer and a beer on Nov. 11.

SHARK REEF AQUARIUM
All active and retired military personnel will receive one complimentary admission and their dependents will receive $15 general admission with a valid ID on Nov. 10-13. The offer is good for up to four dependents per ID.

SIEGFRIED & ROY'S SECRET GARDEN AND DOLPHIN HABITAT
From Nov. 10-12, all active and retired military personnel with a valid ID will receive complimentary admission. Family members who carry dependent and spouse ID cards will receive a $5 discount.

THE+SOURCE DISPENSARIES
The+Source, which owns dispensaries in Henderson and Las Vegas, will honor military service members on Nov. 10-12 with an in-store 20 percent discount. Veterans and active-duty service members with a valid military ID are eligible for the discount.

SOUTH POINT
South Point’s Garden Buffet is hosting a Veterans Day Buffet, free of charge, Nov. 11, 7 a.m. through 10 p.m. All active military members, veterans and a plus one are invited to enjoy a brunch accompanied with bottomless mimosas, lunch or a Prime Rib dinner, courtesy of South Point.  The buffet will include a Lost Solider Table to honor the memory of all those who have served. Military members most show a valid military ID.

STATION CASINOS
Free buffet on Nov. 10 for guests with Military Boarding Pass. Swipe the pass at any kiosk at a Station Casinos property to receive a voucher for a free breakfast, lunch or dinner buffet that day. Must present boarding pass with valid military ID.

Fiesta Henderson invites all Southern Nevada residents to thank a veteran by providing a written message of thanks on a large temporary wall on display at the property. This annual tradition was designed to honor all active, inactive or retired military. The public is invited to come out and sign the wall and express gratitude or write a message of remembrance. The wall will be on display from Nov. 1-11, 24 hours a day and will be located next to Fiesta Henderson’s Festival Buffet.

VETERANS COFFEE AND CONVERSATIONS
 In efforts to continue to serve and provide educational resources to veterans and their families, Vegas PBS launched a new monthly discussion forum, Veterans Coffee and Conversations, featuring a roundtable of local Las Vegas veterans, military family members and veteran service organizations. The discussion will take place every third Friday of each month.  Any Las Vegas veterans interested in participating in a Veterans Coffee and Conversation discussion may register at vegaspbs.org or email collins@VegasPBS.org for more information.

WIENERSCHNITZEL
Veterans Day gives Americans the opportunity to honor the bravery and sacrifice of U.S. veterans and those currently serving. Once again this year, Wienerschnitzel is saying thank you with a free Chili Dog, small fries and 20 oz. drink to U.S. veterans and those in active and reserve military duty as a token of their appreciation and gratitude.
