On Tuesday, Mesquite Mayor Allan Litman, Henderson Mayor Andy Hafen, Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman, North Las Vegas Mayor John Lee and Clark County Commission Chairman Steve Sisolak will go head to head to see which municipality can donate the most goods to Goodwill in one day, just in time for spring cleaning.
Each elected official will don the blue Goodwill vest and volunteer at a donation center for a minimum of a half hour on Tuesday, April 26, personally collecting donations from the community while working side-by-side with a Goodwill team member whose life has been changed thanks to Goodwill of Southern Nevada.
Donations at each location where a mayor or the county commissioner appear will be tracked throughout the day and measured by number of donors.
The jurisdiction with the most donors will win the challenge.
