A transformer caught fire on a power pole Wednesday afternoon, leading to a power outage.
About 2,000 customers were without power following the fire after 4 p.m. in the 6300 block of West Alta Drive, near Torrey Pines Drive. Some traffic lights near Rainbow and Charleston boulevards were also affected.
Around 5:30 p.m., only 447 customers remained without power.
NV Energy has responded.
