This is a roundup of all the breaking news in the Las Vegas valley for July 6, 2017.

9:09 P.M.

Two fires are burning on Mount Potosi.  Both began this evening.  The first fire as small and near the Kimball Scout Reservation.  Its cause is currently unknown.  The second fire is burning near Cottonwood Pass.  The US Forest Service believes it was caused by lightning.  LVMPD estimates its size at 15-20 acres.  Hot spot crews are currently fighting the blaze.  Smoke jumpers will be ordered to the second fire's location in the morning.

3:32 P.M. 

66-year-old William D'Errico was arrested in Dolan Springs, Arizona this morning on charges related to a drive-by shooting. The incident happened around 4:30 a.m. Deputies say a 48-year-old victim had a verbal altercation with D'Errico outside a business earlier that morning. Both went home. D'Errico then grabbed a small-caliber gun, drove to the victim's residence, shot him, and fled the scene. D'Errico was taken into custody without incident at 9:45 a.m. 

11:23 A.M.

A recreational vehicle caught fire in a dirt lot near Boulder Highway and Russell Road on Thursday. The RV was fully involved when Clark County Fire Department arrived. The fire was out in 10 minutes. There were no occupants and no witnesses. Cause of fire is undetermined.

11:11 A.M.

Henderson police are investigating the body of a deceased homeless male found between two businesses near Boulder Highway and Palo Verde Drive. Investigators are determining whether it's natural or suspicious.

8 A.M.

A 48-year-old man was shot in the head this morning during an altercation in the 6800 block of Stirrup Circle in Dolan Springs, Arizona. He is being treated at Kingman Regional Medical Center. No one has been arrested. The Mohave County Sheriff's Office is investigating.

5:30 A.M.

A gas leak near Flamingo Road and Eastern Avenue has caused road closures.

SW Gas has confirmed that the gas has been turned off in the area and they are beginning repairs.

5:05 A.M.

Vehicle on fire near U.S. 95 and Boulder Highway.
