Last month, recreational pot was legalized in Henderson.
Tuesday night, Henderson city council approved a resolution to give 30 percent of business license fees to schools.
Henderson had 5 recreational dispensaries operating when recreational weed was legalized.
The fees to operate a facility cost upwards of $100,000.
Every year, the city will meet to discuss how to disburse the money generated from the pot licenses. It's not just public schools getting the money, the resolution says higher education institutions are eligible as well.
