29-year-old Keon Miller has been arrested for the murder after shooting two men around 12:30 a.m. July 5.

Police say that patrol officers were dispatched to an apartment located in the 4300 block of North Lamont Street, which is near Nellis Boulevard and Craig Road, to investigate a shooting that was reported as self-defense.

Two males with gunshot wounds were transported to University Medical Center. One male was pronounced dead at the hospital and the other man was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

The evidence at the scene was not consistent with a self-defense shooting. Miller was arrested. He is being held at Clark County Detention Center on one count of murder with a deadly weapon.

The deceased will be identified by the coroner after relatives have been notified.
