District attorney to release findings on NHP shooting

Back in October 2016, officials released a dramatic video showing the moments leading up to a deadly chase with law enforcement officials in Henderson.

A trooper from the Nevada Highway Patrol ended up shooting and killing a carjacking suspect, raising big questions about the use of force. On March 20, 2017, the District Attorney is expected to release what his investigation found.

Reports say that the suspect, Javier Munoz, was seen throwing someone to the ground before trying to steal a car. State troopers say Munoz did not have a gun but was using the stolen vehicle as a weapon, forcing the trooper to open fire.
