A new, 35-story guitar-shaped hotel will open in south Florida this fall, and it’s sure to be a smash hit with music-loving travelers. The Guitar Hotel at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida, will stretch 450 feet into the sky, adding a little rock n’ roll spirit to the city’s skyline.
Want to slumber inside this behemoth guitar? The hotel will begin taking reservations on July 24, but won’t officially open to the public until Oct. 24. Maroon Five, including frontman Adam Levine, will headline the opening, performing at an Oct. 25 concert in Hard Rock Live, the hotel’s new 6,500-seat venue.
The iconic guitar-shaped hotel tower is part of the resort and casino’s expansion, and it will bring an additional 638 rooms and suites to the complex. Stretching 450 feet into the sky, the Instagram-worthy hotel will put on a show at night with its brightly lit strings. The hotel will also boast floor-to-ceiling glass panes to let that famous Florida sunshine soak in. Additional rooms, also worthy of rock stars, will be available in an Oasis Tower, which will boast swim-up suites.
Music, of course, is a theme that’s threaded throughout the Hard Rock’s collection of hotels. Through a “Sound of Your Stay” program, guests can, for example, borrow from a collection of Fender guitars and tune into guitar-playing lessons from the in-room TV. Unique to the Hollywood, Florida hotel, “The Oculus” will provide a free show incorporating choreographed sound, light and water elements. How’s that for a rocking vacation?
As part of the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino’s Hollywood expansion, a 13.5-acre lagoon-style pool will also be added, complete with waterfalls and swaying palm trees. The expanse of water will be as long as three football fields so that guests can go canoeing and paddleboarding. Plus, there will be Bora Bora-style overwater villas for a luxe experience, each equipped with personal plunge pools and butler service.
