Virtual fall job fair kicking off Oct. 8

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The 2020 Fall Job Fair Virtual Series hosted by Clark County Commissioners Jim Gibson and Tick Segerblom, the Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation (DETR), and Workforce Connections’ One-Stop Career Center will kick off Oct. 8 at 3:30 p.m., with a focus on open warehouse and logistics jobs.

Registration for Thursday’s job fair closes at 2 p.m. on Oct. 8.

Employers such as Eastridge Workforce Solutions, Bed, Bath and Beyond Distribution Center and Tire’s Warehouse will present available job opportunities and provide job seekers with important information about how to stand out when applying. Together, the employers featured in the October 8 virtual job fair have more than 300 open positions to fill.

Job seekers can register online for Thursday’s job fair or others in the series through Workforce Connections’ One-Stop Career Center. The job fairs are free. However, registration is required in order to participate.

The 2020 Fall Job Fair Virtual Series will continue every Thursday at 3:30 p.m. throughout the month of October featuring employers in the following industries:

- Oct. 15: Work from Home

- Oct. 22: Customer Service and Call Center

- Oct. 29: Healthcare
