NATIONAL (KTNV) — If you are feeling stressed, gardening may help improve your mental health.

Psychology Today says gardening helps in practicing acceptance with things that happen that we can't always control.

Gardening can also help people with being present and focused.

Michael Chamberland from the University of Arizona's Urban Horticulture says, don't be discouraged by the idea of trying to grow something in the desert, and it's best to start with house plants.
