Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Las Vegas hosted our 16th Annual Runnin’ for the House 5K Run & Fun Walk on April 18.
Due to recent concerns surrounding the COVID-19 situation, the 2020 event was held virtually for the first time! Twenty-five teams and more than 750 participants completed the 5K run or one mile walk wherever and whenever they wanted this past weekend.
Not only did many participate in the Las Vegas valley, but also had others complete the event in Canada, North Dakota, Iowa, and Illinois.
Participants posted their run videos and pictures all weekend long in a virtual Facebook group page and on social media using the hashtag #RockTheSocks.
Ronald McDonald even made a special guest appearance in a few videos created to cheer on the participants from afar.
RMHC raised more than $81,000 from the virtual event.
