RENO (KTNV) — A veteran from Reno who normally makes secret donations is revealing himself. Howard McField has been tinting windows for the disabled American veterans' vans for free.
The vans take veterans to their VA appointments and McField wanted to make sure they were comfortable during their trip.
"Some of these folks travel 4 or 5 hours and then they don't have any comfort from that sun. So now, I feel as though I've done something good." says McField.
McField has kept this donation a secret for years because he didn't want customers to feel obligated to ask him to keep doing the work.
He says he recently had a change of heart because he wanted to give credit to his customers whose business help make the donations possible.
