The University of Nevada Las Vegas teamed up with megabus.com and the Arbor Day Foundation to give back.

On April 29, these students planted trees on their campus as part of a bigger plan by megabus.com to plant 10,000 trees nationwide.

Megabus.com partnered with the Arbor Day Foundation to plant 5 box trees (Live Oak and Raywood Ash) and 3 Strawberry trees on UNLV’s campus

50-60 students took part in the planting in support of eco-friendly travel while beautifying their campus.

In addition to UNLV, megabus.com also partnered with four other schools across America to plant 10,000 trees in celebration of their ten year anniversary.

The trees can be seen at the McDermott Physical Education courtyard.

They were planted in an area at the west end of their east/west mall, in the turf on the southwest corner of the Bigelow Health Science building and on the north side of the Bigelow Physics Building.

These are located on one of their main malls on campus which get a great deal of pedestrian traffic.

As UNLV is located in the desert, any relief from the harsh sun is welcomed by staff and students alike.

UNLV provided volunteer incentives and thank you's such as ball caps, reusable water bottles, and sack lunches for the participants.

UNLV's grounds department donated labor to assist in planting the trees for the event and plan to maintain them in the future.
