SPYONvegas has its finger on the pulse of Las Vegas party life and they've made it their job to catalog the best of what the city has to offer. It doesn't matter if you're a local or tourist, dayclubbing or nightclubbing, there's a place for you on SPYONvegas.
That is why it comes as no surprise to see SPYONvegas hosting one of the biggest competitions this summer, the Hot 100. Hundreds of women will compete over 16 weeks for the title of “Las Vegas’ hottest pool partier.”
We had the opportunity to sit down with SPYONvegas' Lauren McKay during the Wet Republic Ultra Pool opening weekend and ask her why these type of events are such a huge part of SPYONvegas' vision.
"I feel like if Vegas had a diary, we need to be writing that diary and sending it out," said McKay. "People get to see the inside look at what it's like to party in Vegas."
Of course, we had to ask her how she locates the girls for the competition and how hard the process was for her specifically.
"I choose them through Instagram or if I see photographers shoot girls that catch my eye. Even Sports Illustrated, we have a few girls going to come out this year," McKay said before talking about the challenges of the event.
"It's way more hectic than people think and there are a lot of moving pieces at one time. But we're like all synchronized swimmers, we know what's coming next and we know how each other think about things. I know they're going to make the right decisions."
That experience and familiarity are what sets SPYONvegas apart from other companies that try to document Las Vegas culture. An event of this magnitude would be an overwhelming task for most, but for them, it's just another weekend.
So, what makes this year different than years past? The women.
"We've increased the money the girls can win for the top 3 places every week and its enticed a whole new group of girls to come out and compete."
There were women from Brazil, France, Germany, and across the United States competing on opening weekend and SPYONvegas promises the best is yet to come.
