Ride & Smile 4 Cara is taking place Jan. 9.
Cara Cox was the 9th bicyclist killed in Las Vegas in 2015. Cox, 49, was hit by a 74-year-old female driver while riding her bike in October in Henderson. Cox was in a coma for two months before she passed away. She is survived by her husband and child.
Two other people were also injured in the incident.
The ride will begin at 9 a.m. at the park near Buffalo Road and Mountain Edge Parkway. A memorial for Cox will begin at 2:30 p.m. at the park.
