Provenance Healthcare is welcoming the addition of Anna Victorine, MS, CGC as their genetic counselor.

As a genetic counselor, Victorine uses an individual's unique medical and family history to discuss risks of genetic disease, genetic testing options, and management recommendations. She is also able to order and interpret genetic tests.

“Genetic counseling is a crucial component of the genetic testing process,” said Victorine. “Counseling ensures that patients are making informed decisions about their healthcare. Unlike other medical tests, genetic tests often impact multiple family members and may guide treatments and screening options for conditions.”

Victorine is certified by the American Board of Genetic Counseling and obtained her Master of Science degree in medical and molecular genetics from Indiana University School of Medicine. She also has published articles in the American Journal of Medical Genetics, Perspectives in Genetic Counseling and the Public Library of Science, and has provided guest lectures at the College of Southern Nevada and Nevada State College.
