The Consumer Electronics Show has come to a close and local charities are benefiting from the event.

Companies like Audi, Canon and LG are donating about 150,000 pounds of materials to charity. Extra pens go to the Teachers Exchange and construction materials to Habitat for Humanity.

Goodwill is also benefiting but are unsure of what they're getting until they pick it up Monday.

"We are so excited because this means donations and the donations and the revenue that's generated from those donations stays in the community to help people of Southern Nevada," said Kathy Topp, of Goodwill of Southern Nevada.
