New Vista, the largest non-profit provider of Supported Living Arrangements for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) in Nevada, today announced its partnership with HomeAid Southern Nevada to renovate one of four homes at New Vista Ranch in order to provide safe, clean and dignified housing for residents.

As part of its Youth Initiative Campaign, which seeks to actively address the alarming challenges plaguing Nevada’s children with IDD in the foster care system, New Vista has partnered with HomeAid Southern Nevada, which has pledged to donate time and materials for the project at New Vista Ranch.

Located near Gilcrease Orchard, the ranch is situated on 15 acres, and is comprised of four custom homes, built especially with individuals with IDD in mind.

The renovation, beginning this month, will expect to accommodate New Vista members by June. The renovated homes will provide features such as spacious bedrooms including a sleeping area and private study nook upon completion.

The New Vista Ranch location provides a nature driven, campus-like setting for children and young adolescents living with IDD to thrive.
