Nevada is among states with lowest average student debt, according to a study by WalletHub.

WalletHub compared the 50 states and the District of Columbia across 12 key metrics.

The data set ranges from average student debt to unemployment rate among the population aged 25 to 34 to share of students with past-due loan balances.

States with the highest average student debt are:
1. South Dakota
2. Pennsylvania
3. West Virginia
4. New Hampshire
5. Iowa

States with lowest average student debt are:
42. Arizona
43. Alaska
44. Nevada
45. Florida
46. District of Columbia

The only bad news is that Nevada has a high rate of unemployment for young adults with a college degree.
