Local EMT honored for work during Strip crash

MedicWest AEMT Chris Curtiss was the initial first responder at the scene of a crash that happened on the Strip on Dec. 20.
Several pedestrians were hit by a driver in front of Planet Hollywood. One person died as a result.
Chris was already inside Planet Hollywood so she immediately grabbed her equipment and began offering aid to those around her.
Chris' fast actions made a difference in the lives of those she came into contact with that day and as a result she was honored in Washington D.C. last week.
This is an honor for MedicWest as well as our community as it puts a spotlight on the amazing work the Las Vegas EMT's and Paramedics do every day.
