LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A local businesswoman has found success by turning a negative experience into her motivation.
Sheryl Green is now a storyteller, public speaker and entrepreneur who is well on her way to turning her consulting company into a million-dollar business.
“I moved to Las Vegas to start my life over,” said Green.
Sheryl Green’s life needed a reboot after a difficult marriage. Writing became her therapy, and before transitioning to public speaking. Years later, she merged her passion for writing and her love of storytelling to start her own business. This business gave her the opportunity to help other companies and nonprofits their story.

“Storytelling is so incredibly important for business because it’s about selling emotion,” said Green. “No matter what product or service you have, you have to tap into a person’s emotion to sell them on something.”
Hearts Alive Village Las Vegas is one of the nonprofits Green works with where she brings a voice to animals looking for forever homes.
“It was the first time in my life I had a purpose and I could actually contribute something,” said Green.
Now, her company is on its way to million-dollar success.
“Being able to make money doing something I love and I’m a huge proponent of cause marketing,” said Green.
This year, she’s taking her experience to the Women’s HerStory event in hopes of inspiring other women to start new chapters in their lives
“To be able to share this story with these women and say no, what you’ve been through is actually going to propel you forward, it made you who you area, it made you stronger and you can do it,” said Green.
