An 8-year-old boy has a bike for the first time in more than a month, thanks to a Las Vegas police officer.

Officer Marc Evans took a police report for the boy named Jordan after the bike was stolen about a month and a half ago.

Police said Jordan used the bike to ride to school and after the bike was stolen, had to wake up early in the morning to get to walk to school in time.

Evans decided to buy Jordan a new bike with his own money and delivered it in time for the 8-year-old's birthday this week. The new bike happened to be the same model as the one that was stolen.

The officer also purchased a lock for the bike.
