Las Vegas Fire & Rescue holds open house

Posted

More than a dozen Las Vegas Fire & Rescue stations opened their doors Saturday to the community Saturday to show off their equipment and answer questions about fire safety.

"When kids come they love to see the fire truck, so that's one of the first things that we show them," said firefighter Mike Stanford. "We also show them the basics about the station and what we do on a day-to-day basis."

The open houses were part of National Fire Prevention Week.
