In an effort to educate the community about Jewish history and to ensure that Holocaust education remains an important priority, the nonprofit Jewish Nevada is hosting a “Women of the Holocaust” virtual book club.

The program is being offered by Jewish Nevada through one of the many programmatic opportunities that the Jewish Community Center provides.

This reading series will include a group of books about the encounters of women who experienced the Holocaust in different ways.

To show the vast array of experiences that women faced in the Holocaust, the three books that will be featured in the upcoming series are, Irena’s Children by Tilar Mazzeo, All but My Life by Gerda Weissman Klein and Survivor Café by Elizabeth Rosner, with corresponding webinars on Aug. 20, at 7 p.m., Sept. 10, at 7 p.m., and Nov. 5, at 7 p.m.

Participants must register by July 15 to receive all of the books in the reading series and custom swag items.

If they are not registered by then, they can sign up for the webinars only, and the books can be purchased separately.
