Henderson offering residents way to save money on ambulance rides

HENDERSON (KTNV) — The City of Henderson is offering a new program named S.M.A.R.T. (Subscription Medical Ambulance Response and Transport) that will make emergency services more affordable.

Participants pay an annual fee to receive free or discounted ambulance transports throughout the year.

If a participant has insurance, they will receive 2 free transports per year.

If a participant is not insured, they will receive 20 percent of the cost of each transport.

The services does include hospitals outside of Henderson.

In addition, the program includes certified CPR training and Stop the Bleed classes.

Individual plans start at $59 and family plans are $99.
