LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — In honor of John Lewis, C.T. Vivian, and the Black Lives Matter movement, four local entrepreneurs hosted a golf tournament to raise money for the community.

The goal was to give $1000 to the organization 100 Black Men of Las Vegas.

One of the business owners involved in today's event once received a scholarship from the group.

The organizer says today's event is an alternative to protesting.

He says he'll continue to host events and give back to the community for the remainder of the year
