LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Today is Free Cone Day at Ben & Jerry's!

Two shops will give away free ice cream from noon to 8 p.m. on April 9. You can visit the Sunset Station location on 1301 W. Sunset Road and The District at Green Valley Ranch on 2225 Village Walk Drive in Henderson.

Flavors available include classic Cherry Garcia to new favorites like Wake & "No Bake" Cookie Dough Core.

Ben & Jerry's first claim to fame, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, is now available in original and non-dairy versions, so there's something for everyone.

Many Las Vegas entertainers and community leaders are coming out to support Ben and Jerry’s Free Cone Day and will serve ice cream at the District location and balloon artists and face painters will be on hand for all the kids to enjoy.

Ben and Jerry’s is using the Free Cone Day event to bring public awareness to the CASA Foundation Las Vegas community work.

CASA trains volunteers to be legal advocates of children who are abused and neglected and deliver financial resources to address the special needs of children.

Donations will be accepted for the CASA Foundation at Henderson locations: Sunset Station location is at 1301 W. Sunset Road and The District at Green Valley Ranch scoop shop is at 2225 Village Walk Drive in Henderson.

Call 702-437-3300 for information on The District at Green Valley Ranch Ben & Jerry's; call 702-435-1010 for information on the Sunset Station Ben & Jerry's.

Donations go directly to support local children in need by helping to pay for clothing, tutoring, dental and vision care, living assistance and a myriad of other needs.

In addition to cash donations for CASA, checks may be dropped off payable to CASA Foundation and credit cards will also be accepted on April 9.

Ben & Jerry's Free Cone Day traces back to 1979 in shops in 38 countries. Worldwide more than 1 million scoops will be given away.
