Super Summer Theatre will soon be offering affordable performing arts classes at its studios.

Super Summer Theatre is the theater company best known for bringing musicals and plays to folks at Spring Mountain Ranch State Park each summer.

ACTION OUT at Super Summer Theatre Studios will offer students affordable access to the performing arts, especially youth who do not have access to an arts education program at their schools or who cannot afford private opportunities.

The classes are designed to help young actors make a difference in their training, auditions and stage presence. ACTING OUT will start with two six-week classes starting in January 2016: Intermediate Acting and Young Musical Theatre Ensemble. Both classes are taught by trained instructors, Rhonda Carlson and Kevan Patriquin. A third class, Audition Workshops, will be announced later.

Cost for both classes will be $240 each.

“Opening our studios for advancing educational opportunities in the arts is a great way for our company to stay involved in the community all year round,” says SST Board president Adrienne O’Donoghue. “The education program furthers SST's commitment to affordability and access for youth to the performing arts. Hopefully, students who otherwise would not get a chance, will one day end up on stage at Spring Mountain Ranch.”

The 2015/16 Education Program is generously supported by NV Energy.
