Foxx's character becomes caught up in a web of corrupt cops and the mob-controlled casino underground. After a heist goes wrong, his teenage son is kidnapped by a crew of homicidal gangsters and he has to rescue his son, evade Internal Affairs investigators and bring the kidnappers to justice in one long sleepless night.

The movie also stars Michelle Monaghan ("Kiss Kiss Bang Bang"), Dermot Mulroney ("My Best Friend's Wedding"), Gabrielle Union ("10 Things I Hate About You"), and David Harbour ("End of Watch").

The movie is a remake of the French thriller "Nuit Blanche." It is scheduled to be released in Feb. 24, 2017.

Foxx is still a frequent visitor to the city, making guest appearances at local nightclubs.
