Earth Day Celebration
Friday, April 22nd 4-7pm
Container Park
There will be a number of gardening activities throughout the afternoon as well as live entertainment.  Between 4:30pm – 6:30pm enjoy speakers and demonstrations.  Then stick around for the drum circle on the lawn at sundown followed by a special Earth Day showing of the movie “The Lorax”.
 
Nevada Public Radio Recycling Day
Saturday, April 23rd 8am-noon
KNPR Parking lot
You can recycle everything from old magazines and confidential paperwork for shredding to outdated cellphones and computers to old furniture and gently used clothing.  
 
GREENFest 2016
Saturday, April 23rd 10am-5pm
Downtown Summerlin
GREENFest brings together southern Nevada's sustainable community to gather in one location to inform and educate the public.  GREENFest features environmental topics and exhibits, recycling collection, culture, diversity, innovation and resources to create a more enjoyable and healthy lifestyle.
 
sus·tain·a·ble: A two-day guide to living green in Las Vegas
Friday, April 22nd 3-7pm and Saturday, April 23rd 11am-3pm

Celebrate Earth Day and discover helpful tips and tactics for living green in Las Vegas. sus*tain*a*ble will take place in Town Square Park and will feature different daily activities and educational tools to reduce one's carbon footprint.
 
International Festival
Saturday, April 23rd 9am-5pm
Gibson Library
Join for a month long exploration of a selection of various cultures throughout the world!
Each Saturday in April, one of the Henderson library locations will host performances and demonstrations throughout the day.
