Desert Radiology, Southern Nevada’s chief resource for diagnostic care, is the first medical imaging practice in the Las Vegas area to use the Airo-Flex U-120 to apply Proguardeum, a cutting-edge disinfectant that will be used inside of MRI and CT equipment as well as patient waiting rooms.
Acquired to enhance the practice’s cleaning and sanitation protocols, Desert Radiology will use the new advanced disinfectant to further safeguard patient and team member health and safety as routine imaging exams continue to be essential throughout the pandemic.
The Airo-Flex U-120 will contain Proguardeum Disinfectant Solution which is a combination of water and hypochlorous that forms an enhanced super-oxidized water-based disinfectant solution.
According to Proguardeum, the solution has no potential health effects, is non-hazardous as well not non-toxic, yet contains a more powerful oxidant than chlorine bleach.
In addition to the newly acquired disinfectant technology, Desert Radiology also installed air purifiers in every patient waiting room and substantially upgraded the filters within all HVAC systems at operating DR facilities.
