The Clark County Law Library and other local agencies are participating in a Senior Safety Fair on May 15 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at Sam’s Town, 5111 Boulder Highway, in the Ponderosa Ballroom.
The resource fair is being hosted by the Seniors and Law Enforcement Together (S.A.L.T.) Council to connect participants with senior service providers in the community. Information will be provided on a variety of topics including accessing services and safety, traffic pedestrian safety, and defensive driving.
AARP Car Fit will provide a team of trained technicians and/or health professionals to work with each participant to ensure they "fit" their vehicle properly for maximum comfort and safety. Door prizes will be given away and entertainment will be provided.
In addition to the Law Library, expected participants include the Public Guardian Office and the Social Security Administration.
Seniors also will be able to dispose of unused prescription medication at a drop-off site that will be set up during the event.
