'Celebrating Latino Contributions' airs on Clark County TV throughout Hispanic Heritage Month

"Celebrating Latino Contributions," a discussion of the culture, traditions and history of Latinos in the Las Vegas Valley and beyond will debut on Clark County Television Wednesday, Sept. 11 at 7 p.m., and air throughout Hispanic Heritage Month from Sept. 15 through Oct. 15.

The show is moderated by 13 Action News Anchor Todd Quinones!

"Celebrating Latino Contributions" is a 50-minute discussion that features Peter Guzman, president and CEO of the Latin Chamber of Commerce NV, Irma Varela, program supervisor of the Winchester Dondero Cultural Center, world-renowned Harpist Mariano Gonzalez and Chef Beni Velazquez of ChinaLatina restaurant.

The show also may be viewed on Clark County's YouTube channel at YouTube.com/ClarkCountyNV.

"The Latino contribution to the cultural life of Las Vegas is undeniably significant and rich," said Erik Pappa, the County's director of Public Communications.

"Hispanic Heritage Month presents us with an opportunity to help review the importance of this contribution to our community. I want to thank Channel 13 anchor Todd Quinones for moderating this discussion and the panelists for their insights."

Some upcoming air times for "Celebrating Latino Contributions" include Wednesday, Sept. 11 at 7 p.m.; Thursday, Sept. 12 at 1 a.m., 7:30 a.m. and 11 p.m.; Friday, Sept. 13 at 5 a.m.; Saturday, Sept. 14 at 8:30 p.m.; and Sunday, Sept. 15 at 7 p.m.

Additionally, the show is available on Clark County's new podcast, "Cultures of Las Vegas," available for iPhones.

Clark County Television is available in the Las Vegas area on Channel 4/1004 on Cox cable and on CenturyLink on Channels 4 and 1004 as well as in Laughlin on Channel 14 via Suddenlink.
