LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Community superheroes are joining forces to raise needed funds for children battling cancer and their families for the annual Candlelighters Superhero 5K.
Usually held in-person, the fundraiser benefiting the Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada will be held virtually this year as the nonprofit is adapting to hold its traditionally largest benefit event, given the pandemic.
Participants in superhero capes and other costumes will complete the 5K by walking or running in their neighborhood, local park, or one of several inspirational routes Sept. 19-25.
Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada provides children with cancer and their families with needed help through a variety of emotional assistance, quality of life, and financial support programs.
