A new location for Baskin-Robbins opened on Jan. 27 at 9765 W. Flamingo Road.

Del Taco celebrated the opening of its 38th location in Las Vegas on Jan. 1. The new location is at 8125 Blue Diamond Road near Albertsons.

Drybar, a blowout bar, continues to expand its presence in Las Vegas, opening three locations in the city in just two years. The newest addition, which opened Apr. 20, is located on the first floor of Fashion Show, just steps from Las Vegas Boulevard between the Plaza entrance and Neiman Marcus. The third Las Vegas location joins existing shops at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, which opened December 2017, and The Miracle Mile Shops, which debuted July 2016. Drybar Fashion Show will feature ten styling chairs in a shop spanning 1,858 square-feet. In addition to signature blowouts, the Fashion Show shop will also offer Dry Styling, where those short on time can have curls, braids and more styled. Drybar shops feature wine and Champagne at Fashion Show, and full-service bars with signature cocktails at The Cosmopolitan and Miracle Mile.

Family Dollar Stores, Inc., a leading small format and convenience retailer, has announced plans for a new store in Las Vegas, Nevada. The store opened to the public on Feb. 22. The Las Vegas store is located at 7595 Vegas Drive.

Flower Child, Las Vegas’ new healthy, fast-casual restaurant by Sam Fox, officially opened its doors on May 2.

Known for its Chicago deep-dish pizza, Giordano'scelebrated its grand opening at Boca Park on Pi Day, Mar. 14. The Morning Blend's J.J. Snyder hosted a cheese pull competition at the event in which three competitors tried to lift their pizza slice the highest without breaking the cheese. The winner, Scott Fujinaga, took home a Giordano's Cheese Pull Trophy and a $100 gift card.

Jimmy John's sandwich shop has opened a new location at 400 N. Nellis Blvd. 

Leading omni-channel sports licensed retailer LIDS Sports Group opened a new prototype LIDS store at Downtown Summerlin in Las Vegas on May 11. The new store location includes LIDS’ new store design concept, which includes a completely redesigned store embodying a new shopping experience for customers. The layout of the store emphasizes LIDS’ key differentiators, such as the country’s largest headwear offering and product personalization through custom embroidery. The company also recently opened a Locker Room by LIDS at the Las Vegas South Premium Outlets in January, and plans to open another location at the Circus Circus Casino this summer. Pedestal fixtures individually showcase headwear styles that are exclusive to LIDS, and represent recently launched products from partners like New Era, ‘47 and Nike. The updated store introduces a designated “Custom Zone” features touch-screen technology where customers can browse a digital library of customization options. The embroidery machine itself is highly visible for customers to watch the process unfold as the in-store specialist creates a shopper’s custom design digitally and deploys the embroidery machine to do the rest. The EmbroidiGraph option is exclusive to LIDS and allows stores to embroider autographs of current professional athletes on headwear. Shoppers can also request the embroidery of names, numbers, quotes, phrases, images and more to truly make the headwear their own. Lumber Liquidators opened a new store in Las Vegas on Mar. 30. The 8,054 sq.ft. store – located at 1272 South Nellis Boulevard – includes a warehouse and a showroom that offers an assortment of flooring options, moldings, accessories and tools to help do-it-yourselfers and professionals. A variety of floors are also installed so customers can walk on different flooring types. The store, which is the Company’s fourth store in Nevada, showcases more than 400 flooring varieties, including solid hardwood, engineered hardwood, bamboo, cork, vinyl wood plank and laminate sourced from North America and Europe. Shoppers can scan in-store QR codes using the company’s Floor Finder App, take home free flooring samples and consult with Lumber Liquidators flooring experts regarding important flooring decisions.

McDonalds celebrated the grand re-opening of one of its locations near Charleston and Sloan.

Morphe opened its ninth and first-to-market retail location at Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas on June 8. The store is 3,100 square feet, allowing customers to shop Morphe’s full spectrum of professional quality tools and makeup. Products include more than 300 brushes and highly coveted palettes, featuring influencer collaborations such as the Jaclyn Hill Eyeshadow Palette ($38). Morphe will host a grand opening event on June 16 featuring special guests such as Morphe’s ‘Global Director of Artistry’ Nicole Faulkner, as well as numerous prizes and giveaways. Doors open to the public at 7 a.m. and the event will officially kick off at 10 a.m. with a ribbon cutting ceremony featuring a surprise guest. Faulkner will provide makeup demonstrations from 3–5 p.m. near the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and the event will conclude at midnight.

Spirit & Spark, a boutique soul center located at 9480 S. Eastern Ave., Suite 269, celebrated its grand opening on Mar. 10. The boutique is comprised of psychics, mediums, spiritual coaches, energy practitioners, yoga, Pilates teachers and more.

The Sugar Cookie has opened its second location, this time in Henderson at 10960 S. Eastern Ave. Suite 109. In celebration of the expansion, The Sugar Cookie rolled out two sweet new cookie flavors: Cinnamon Roll with cream cheese frosting and candied walnuts and Chocolate Caramel with sea salt.

Karma and Luck is opening its 13th Las Vegas location at Fashion Show mall on Sept. 12. There will be a full day of events to celebrate the opening including sage and blessing with Mystic Mona at 11 a.m., tarot card readings, a crystal healing discussion, and information on intuitive Feng Shui for home and office with James Phoenix. 20 percent of all sales on Sept. 12 will be donated to Make-A-Wish.
