Brookman Elementary School is looking to break a world record for a second time as part of their "Reading Makes Us Bright" program.

Comedy Magician Adam London co-hosted the school's Weekend of Reading Celebration, which kicked off on March 9 when students and staff attempted to lay 62,000 feet of a pipe cleaner chain on the school's grounds. Each link of the chain represented a book that the students read and tested on, with an 80 percent comprehension or better from August 2017 to March 2018.

Adam and his wife Alana, who works at the school as a 4th-grade teacher, purchased the pipe cleaner for the event.

The previous Guinness World Record for the largest chain of pipe cleaner was just under 35,000 feet.

Brookman Elementary first broke a world record in 2016 when they laid together the world's longest continuous chain of glow sticks. Each stick represented a book that a student had read that year.
