Local bikers came out in droves to help make a valley man's dream of riding a motorcycle a reality Sunday.
Sal has Stage 4 lung cancer. He has always wanted to ride a motorcycle but is now too weak to ride one on his own.
A friend reached out to the local biker community, asking if they could give him a ride around the block. They did one better than that, taking Sal and his daughter on a ride to the Mount Charleston Lodge for breakfast.
"When somebody needs help and reaches out, the biker community as you can see, the biker community shows up," said Rob Borden, founder of Biker Atlas.
They gave Sal his own leather vest with his name and a patch.
