The arcade game company Atari has announced that it plans to open 8 video game-themed hotels across the United States, including one in Las Vegas.

Atari is the company behind many cult games, including Pac-Man, Pong, Space Invaders, Asteroids and Q*bert.

The Atari hotels will offer "fully immersive experiences," according to their press release. Select hotels will also feature state-of-the-art venues and studios to accommodate esports events.

The first hotel will be in Phoenix and a groundbreaking is scheduled for spring 2020.

The other locations include Austin (Texas), Denver and Seattle. No other information has been released for groundbreaking or opening dates of the other locations, including Las Vegas.

Teaming up with Atari are GSD Group, Phoenix-based real estate developer True North Studio, and Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak’s Woz Innovation Foundation.
