3-year-old Samuel Fornetti won a free year of in-state college tuition in a contest held by the Nevada State Treasurer's Office.
Families who purchased a Nevada Prepaid Tuition contract NV529.org between Nov. 1, 2016, and Jan. 31, 2017 were entered into the contest. The contract allows families to save up for college through a monthly payment plan. Prepaid Tuition is available for newborns and adolescents through 9th grade.
Samuel's current prize is valued at $6,372 and will likely be worth more by the time the child is old enough to go to college
