LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Southern Nevada Orthodontics is adjusting to a new normal since COVID-19.
Dr. Byron Tam said for months his team only saw clients for emergency care in an effort to slow the spread of the virus.
During the shutdown, Dr. Tam found ways to connect with his patients virtually.
"Patients would text us pictures, we've been doing face time consultations and video conferencing to chat with our patients safely," Tam said.
Now as the valley pushes phase one and reopens slowly, Southern Nevada Orthodontics is considering how returning to practice will work.
Dr. Tam said all patients must use hand sanitizer when entering the building and only patients are allowed inside the office.
All orthodontists must keep their masks and gloves on at all times.
Dr. Tam said the next critical phase is coming up with financial relief for clients and future patients.
He is deferring all deposits and payments on all services for now.
