LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Red Rice is a family-owned restaurant in Henderson, serving up flavors of Guam.
"Best way to describe the food is between Filipino and Hawaiian and sometimes a Spanish flare too," owner Chris Tenorio, said.
The restaurant is run by the Tenorio family and now they are trying to digest the impact COVID-19 left on business.
"The community is keeping our door open," Tenorio said.
With the help of the community came the "Feed Our Heroes LV" campaign, an initiative to provide free meals for valley first responders.
Red Rice has donated over 1,000 free lunches to hospitals around the valley.
Red Rice created the "Heroes Plate" and a portion of its sale will go towards their campaign.
The "Heroes Plate" will be available in store only.
Red Rice is open daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and is located at 9400 South Eastern Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89123.
