Dramatic body cam video has been released showing a Georgia police officer saving the life of a man trapped inside of a burning vehicle.
When Senior Police Officer Dan Whitney arrived on scene, he discovered a SUV engulfed in flames and heard a passenger yelling for help.
The crash had bent the vehicle's frame, jamming the doors shut.
Officer Whitney was able to pull the man through a rear window though. As he did so, an explosion rocked the burning vehicle, throwing the officer to the ground.
Although he was able to save the passenger, the driver of the vehicle died.
