Two Good Samaritans rescued a baby that was left inside a hot car in New Jersey.
A teacher and retired police officer found a baby locked in a hot car in a shopping center parking lot.
When they saw the child's condition, they rushed into action.
"She was beat red, sweating profusely. She was half covered in a blanket. I panicked", said teacher Sarah Mazzone.
"I remembered I had my sledgehammer that I left in the back of the car. I ran I got it and I smashed the window. I took the baby out", said retired officer Steve Eckel.
They brought the baby into a store to cool off until police arrived.
The child's mother left the baby in the car for nearly an hour while she went shopping.
She was arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
