A Texas woman had a feeling that something might happen during a surgery for a hernia in 2015.

A surgeon that she had met with prior to the surgery had left "bad notes" in her file after she met with him to discuss the surgery. Ethel Easter says that she became upset during the visit because the surgery could not be done immediately and the surgeon yelled at her, saying "Who do you think you are?"

Easter told ABC News that the incident sent up a red flag, but she didn't want to cancel or reschedule the surgery for later.

So, she decided to hide a recording device in her hair during the surgery.

Hospital staff can reportedly be heard calling Easter a "handful" and making fun of her belly button.

Someone can also be heard referring to her as "Precious," which is the main character of a 2009 movie by the same name. The movie is about an obese, black, 16-year-old girl who is impregnated by her father for the 2nd time.

Easter sent the recording to the hospital. They responded that they would remind staff to be mindful of their comments, but did not believe further action was warranted.

Easter told ABC News that she is still distraught about the incident.
