A struggling Texas mother was expecting a traffic ticket when she was pulled over in Arlington.
Rather Alexis Jones was surprised by the outcome.
Officer Brandon Gilbert noticed her children weren't strapped in properly to their car seats -- one was broken, another was too small.
Gilbert was ready to write her a ticket but instead decided to help her adjust the seats.
"You know I thought about taking enforcement action but then I thought that's not gonna help her," he said.
The next day, Gilbert decided to do more for Jones.
"They came over with two big boxes of car seats and stuffed animals and I was just in total shock," Jones said.
The officer used his own money to buy the car seats and showed her how to install them.
